Installation precautions for ferrules:
-
Do not release pipeline pressure by loosening tube fittings or tube plugs.
-
Do not assemble and fasten tube fittings while the system is pressurized.
-
Ensure the tube is fully inserted into the fitting socket before tightening the nut.
-
It is recommended not to mix materials or components (ferrules, nuts, and tube fittings) from different manufacturers.
Tube handling precautions:
-
Tubes should undergo annealing to ensure a hardness lower than that of the fittings and ferrules.
-
Tubes should be free from linear or helical grooves; using low-quality tubes can affect sealing.
-
Tubes should not be dragged across pipe racks or rough surfaces to avoid groove formation.
-
Tubes should align with the fitting socket holes; misalignment can lead to difficult installation and uneven stress on the tube, posing serious safety risks.
-
Keep the tube cutter sharp and avoid cutting too deeply with each rotation. Ensure there are no burrs or oval deformations at the cut end, facilitating smooth passage through the ferrule during installation without damaging its sealing surface.
